First, Let’s Talk
Michelle is the artist behind the AttikoArt collection, so you will be liaising with her.
The process starts off with a simple chat - on the phone or via email, whichever works best - in order for us to understand exactly what your perfect artwork might look like. We’ll talk about things like:
Do you have a special size in mind?
What about the format - vertical, landscape or square?
What colours are you after? (Or, are there any colours you hate?)
What is the “feeling” you’re looking for in the painting?
Where is it going to be hung?
Do you have an existing piece of art in mind that you would like to use as inspiration? One of our designs perhaps, or something else?
What about framing?
If you’re not entirely sure about everything yet, that’s fine too - We’ll help you decide.
Next, The Deposit
Once we have mutually agreed on the brief for your commission, we ask you for a 35% down payment (with the balance due when the painting is finished and ready to ship).
Then, The Mood Board
After the deposit is received, we set about creating a mood board for you, which we will send to you digitally. This will contain one or more small thumbnail sketches and paint colour combinations which will be used in your painting, giving you an idea of what to expect in the final work. (Remember though that the finished painting will be different, much bigger and more complex than anything you see on a mood board, so this is purely orientative).
Now, To The Painting
After the mood board stage, we begin work on the final painting. We may send you some sneak peeks of some small details as it unfolds, but you won’t get to see the whole piece in its entirety until it’s completely finished. When the painting is ready though, we’ll send you a digital file for your approval before shipping. (And at this stage, although it usually doesn’t happen, if you feel that there is something not quite right, we’re more than happy to make tweaks for you).
Prices
This is a bespoke service, so prices are on application and depend on individual requirements. As a guide however, for our standard canvas sizes, excluding framing, please allow the following rates:
55 x 75cm - £1,150
65 x 85cm / 75 x 75cm - £1,209
95 x 125cm - £1,295
Creating your dream painting, together…
When you commission a painting from AttikoArt, we want you to trust us. This is about teamwork.
Firstly, we will be communicating with you (a lot!) so you can be confident that, by the time painting starts, we will have fully understood your vision. Secondly, you can be relaxed about the standard of art that you will receive - Michelle is an award-winning artist and the quality of her work is assured. Finally, our goal is to create a painting that you will feel an emotional connection to and be excited to hang in your home.
Before considering a commission, we do kindly ask that you look closely at our work Abstracts & Landscapes so that you are really familiar with our style. We want you to be confident that we are a match made in heaven!
We can’t wait to create a beautiful painting for you and your home.
